Description
A Lionel postwar O-gauge model freight train collection including a steam locomotive, a whistle tender, four freight cars, and one original component box. The set features a No. 246 die-cast metal 2-4-2 steam locomotive finished in black with white cab numbering. The tender is a black plastic Lionel Lines No. 2046 equipped with an internal whistle. Rolling stock comprises a silver No. 6465 Sunoco double-dome tanker car, a cream No. 6050 Lionel Savings Bank boxcar with green architectural graphics, a black No. 6062 New York Central gondola with two orange Lionel wire reels, and a brown No. 6017 Lionel Lines caboose. The locomotive underside is stamped Made in the U.S. of America, The Lionel Corporation, New York, N.Y. The original orange and blue cardboard box is designated for the No. 2046 Tender with Whistle.

Condition report:
This collection is in vintage, used condition with signs of age and play wear. The locomotive and metal chassis show visible paint loss and minor oxidation on the axles and wheels. The cream plastic of the boxcar exhibits some age-related discoloration and light surface grime. The cardboard box shows significant shelf wear, including tears to the end flaps, creasing, and corner blunting. All mechanical and electrical functions are untested.
