Description
This lot consists of a sterling silver zodiac pendant and an antique shoehorn with an ornate handle. The circular pendant, manufactured by Janecraft, features a raised relief depiction of a lion representing the zodiac sign Leo, with the word LEO embossed at the base against a scrollwork background. The reverse of the pendant is flat and stamped with the mark JANECRAFT STERLING. It is equipped with a circular jump ring for suspension. The shoehorn features a handle decorated with intricate repousse floral and scroll motifs and includes a blank oval cartouche on one side. The handle is attached to a tapered steel blade. Faint marks are present on the bolster area of the handle but are not clearly legible.
Condition report:
The shoehorn handle shows tarnish and surface wear commensurate with age. The steel blade of the shoehorn exhibits significant surface rust and oxidation. The Janecraft pendant is in good vintage condition with light surface scratches and minor tarnish.
