Description
This lot consists of two vintage smoking items: a Dunhill Unique lift-arm pocket lighter and an Atmos folding pipe reamer. The Dunhill lighter features a metal body with a vertical ribbed design and a lift-arm ignition system. The lift arm is stamped with the Dunhill name. The base of the lighter is marked with U.S. Patent 1022140, English Patent 143752, and Canada Patent 306029, alongside the inscription Made in Switzerland and a 1925 date mark. The central fuel cap is embossed with Dunhill Unique. The accompanying metal tool is inscribed Atmos Folding Pipe Reamer and Made in U.S.A. It features a hinged construction and the instructional text Turn Slowly to Right on the handle.
Condition report:
Both items show significant signs of wear and age. The lighter exhibits heavy surface tarnishing and general wear to the metal finish. The Atmos pipe reamer shows visible oxidation and surface rust, specifically near the hinge and on the interior surfaces. The mechanical functionality of the lighter and the tool has not been verified.
