Description
Attributed to Ballard Designs, this late 20th-century French Country style dining suite comprises an extension dining table accompanied by two matching leaves and a set of four ladder-back chairs. The table is crafted with a hardwood frame and a decorative wood veneer top, highlighted by a scalloped, molded edge and a central parquetry inlay in a diamond-matched pattern. The table is elevated on four cabriole legs featuring carved knees. The accompanying chairs are designed with three-slat ladder backs topped with scrolled finials and fitted with woven rush fiber seats. The chairs are supported by cabriole front legs and splayed rear legs, mirroring the table’s design.

The set is in good, sturdy condition. The tabletop exhibits light surface scratches and minor finish wear commensurate with age and residential use. The rush seating on all chairs is intact.
