Description
This hand-carved and painted wooden fish decoy depicts a brown trout with a realistic aesthetic. The piece features a wooden body finished in a yellow-to-brown gradient, adorned with a pattern of black and red spots encircled by white halos. It is constructed with five inset fins made of dark brown sheet metal. Three brass-tone screw eye loops are positioned along the dorsal ridge for suspension. The underside is painted white and bears the hand-written signature Rich Brooks. The mouth is carved in an open position, revealing a white-painted interior.

Condition report:
The decoy is in good condition with vibrant paint throughout. Visual inspection reveals minor surface wear and light scuffing on the white-painted belly area near the artist signature. The metal fins and brass hardware remain securely attached.
