Description
This lot includes two decoys. The first is a fish decoy representing a yellow perch, featuring a painted wooden body and inserted metal fins. The underside of the fish is marked copyright T.B.C. 2001 followed by a fish-shaped icon and SERIES No PE-C1. The second item is a carved wooden duck decoy depicting an American Widgeon drake. The duck displays a green head, white crown, and a gray bill. The wooden body has been modified with several round bored holes and retains a fragment of jute twine attached to the underside.
Yellow perch length: 9.5 inches.
Condition report:
The fish decoy is in good condition with minor surface wear. The American Widgeon decoy shows heavy paint loss, weathering, and a significant structural crack at the neck joint. Multiple holes are present in the wood and the paint is heavily distressed.
