Description
A set of Les Ceramiques de Lussan ceramic guinea fowl figurines designed by Heidi Caillard. Each piece is hand-painted with a matte, textured finish and features the signature scalloped or crescent-shaped brushstroke pattern to simulate plumage. The collection includes a guinea fowl in a pecking pose and upright figurines in varying colorways. The pecking bird is decorated with a charcoal gray body, light gray feathering, an orange-brown beak, and a red comb. The upright birds include variations in yellow with dark brown feathering and a yellow crest, black with gray feathering and a red comb, and reddish-brown with yellow feathering and a dark red comb. Each bird is constructed with a large, ovoid body tapering to a minimalist head. No maker’s marks are visible on the exterior surfaces.

Longest figurine: 8.5 inches long
Average width: 5 to 6 inches.
Condition report:
The collection is in excellent condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, crazing, or evidence of repair. The painted surfaces are well-preserved with no significant scuffs or loss of pigment.
