Description
A contemporary folk art figurine of a stylized bird mounted on a turned wooden pedestal. The bird is constructed from textured fabric using a sawdust doll method and features a red head, black body, and long tail. The surface is decorated with hand-painted patterns including dots and floral motifs in red, yellow, and green. The bird stands on thin black wire legs. The underside of the base is inscribed in ink with d. jarrett, a copyright symbol, and the date 2003. A paper maker’s tag is attached by string, identifying the artist as Debbie Jarrett of Pipersville, Pennsylvania.
