Description
An assortment of decorative objects comprising two quartz clocks, two boxes, and a wooden mold. The Swiza Swiss desk clock is housed in a square brass case with a black enameled bezel, featuring a gold-tone sunburst dial with applied baton markers and luminous hands. The reverse of the brass case is engraved with the initials M T W over the date 12-7-84. The miniature wooden mantel clock features a reddish-mahogany finish, a white circular dial with black Roman numerals, and spade-style hands. Also included is a reproduction wooden treenware mold from The Salem Collection, featuring a carved pineapple motif and a blue-green painted handle. The collection includes an octagonal wooden tea caddy with a brass swing handle and batwing escutcheon, and a leaded stained glass trinket box featuring a dragonfly ornament on the lid and an accompanying beaded dragonfly brooch.
Swiza clock: 3 inches square
Mantel clock: 5 inches high.
Condition report:
The Swiza clock case displays tarnishing and oxidation spots throughout the brass surfaces. The wooden mantel clock has light surface scuffs to the finish. The reproduction treenware mold features intentional distressing to the painted handle. The wooden tea caddy shows minor edge wear and surface scratches. The glass box shows natural oxidation to the leaded seams. Clock movements are untested and may require battery replacement.
