Description
A group of three miniature rugs featuring traditional Persian and Caucasian geometric patterns, often used as dollhouse floor coverings or salesman samples. Each rug is constructed with a hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, finished with ivory cotton fringe at both ends. The first rug features a dark field with repeating geometric hook and diamond motifs in tan and cream. The second rug has a rose field with a central stepped medallion design in yellow, blue, and ivory. The third rug displays a prominent yellow field with three connected stepped diamond medallions in red, blue, and ivory.
Smallest rug: 3.5 inches (L) x 2.25 inches (W)
Medium rug: 4 inches (L) x 2.75 inches (W)
Largest rug: 4.25 inches (L) x 3.25 inches (W).
Condition report:
The rugs are in good overall condition. There is minor tangling and unevenness to the cotton fringe. The wool pile shows light surface wear consistent with age and handled use. No major stains, holes, or significant losses are visible.
