Description
A signed limited edition print by Pennsylvania artist Julie Longacre, titled Continental Brigade – 1989. The work depicts the stone headquarters of Brigadier General James M. Varnum at Valley Forge National Historical Park, rendered in a detailed pen-and-ink style. The print is hand-numbered 14/700 in the lower-left margin and hand-signed by the artist in cursive in the lower-right margin. Printed text within the lower-left portion of the image identifies the subject as the Headquarters of Brig. Gen. James M. Varnum, Valley Forge Nat. Park. The piece is professionally presented with a wide linen-wrapped mat in a grey-washed wooden frame. The reverse is sealed with a brown paper dust cover and bears a label from The Anvil custom framing shop in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, dated June 1989.
Overall frame height: 20 inches.
Condition report:
The print and mat appear to be in excellent condition with no visible foxing, toning, or fading. The glass is clear and intact. The frame shows minimal surface wear consistent with age. The backing paper is intact with some minor surface spotting.
