Description
This framed art print on paper is after an original work by Danish artist Mads Stage (1922-2004). The composition features a pair of mallard ducks (Anas platyrhynchos) including a drake and a hen, rendered with detailed plumage and set among autumn leaves and reeds. The artwork is presented in an oval format within a double-matted rectangular frame under glass. The lower left of the oval contains the printed signature and species name Anas platyrhynchos Mads Stage. The reverse side includes a brown paper backing with a stamped label for Framed Picture Enterprise, a division of B. A. F. Mfg. based in Memphis, Tennessee. The label contains handwritten entries including a date of 11-3-82, order number 6282, and item number 148. A pencil inscription M 29 is located in the upper right corner of the backing paper. The piece is housed in a dark-stained wood frame equipped with a metal sawtooth hanger.

Condition report:
The artwork appears to be in good condition behind glass with no visible signs of foxing or water damage. There is minor toning to the inner edge of the mat. The wood frame shows minor surface wear including small nicks and light scratches, primarily along the edges. The brown backing paper has a vertical tear approximately 1.5 inches long on the left side and exhibits general handling wear and light toning along the perimeter.
