Description
This US $2 United States Note is from Series 1963. It features a red Treasury seal and red serial numbers. The obverse displays a portrait of Thomas Jefferson, and the reverse depicts his home, Monticello. The serial number *00392328 A designates this as a star replacement note. It bears the signatures of Treasurer Kathryn O’Hay Granahan and Secretary of the Treasury C. Douglas Dillon. The note is printed on currency paper. Centering is shifted toward the top left margin. The item is housed in a plastic sleeve with blue marker notations.
Condition report:
Circulated. The note exhibits multiple heavy vertical folds and general light soiling. A small blue ink 24 is handwritten on the right side of the obverse. The paper shows moderate handling wear with softened corners and minor edge nicks. The note is in Very Good to Fine condition.
