Description
This 1887 US Morgan silver dollar was struck at the Philadelphia mint. The coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse bears the legend E PLURIBUS UNUM and the date 1887. The reverse features the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, In God we trust, and the denomination ONE DOLLAR. The absence of a mint mark above the denomination on the reverse identifies the Philadelphia mintage. The edge is reeded.
Condition report:
The coin displays brilliant white luster. Minor surface bag marks and nicks are present on the obverse and reverse fields and the central device. The coin appears to be in uncirculated condition.
