Description
This lot features a 2001 Apple iBook G3 Dual USB laptop computer, also known as the Snow model. The unit is housed in a white polycarbonate casing and carries model number M6497. Technical specifications from the original packaging indicate a 500-MHz PowerPC G3 processor, 128MB of PC100 SDRAM, and a 10GB Ultra ATA hard drive. The device features a 12.1-inch TFT active-matrix XGA color display and an 8x DVD-ROM drive. Integrated ports include one 400-Mbps FireWire port, two 12-Mbps USB ports, 10/100BASE-T Ethernet, and a 56K V.90 modem. The computer is AirPort wireless networking ready. Included with the laptop is the original retail box with a white plastic handle, the printed User’s Guide, software license agreements, registration packet, software restoration CDs, and a VGA video out adapter. No power supply or AC adapter is included with this lot. The serial number is present on the bottom of the casing and the external box but is not clearly legible in photographs. Data wiping status is unknown as the unit has not been powered on.
Condition report:
The laptop is in used condition and shows significant age-related yellowing and discoloration on the keyboard keys and the trackpad button. The exterior white casing exhibits minor scuffing and surface scratches. The original retail box shows visible shelf wear, including softened corners, edge wear, adhesive tape residue, and a cut security seal. This unit is being sold as-is and is currently untested due to the absence of a power supply.
