Description
This vintage 1969-1970 Tonka toy vehicle is a Jeepster convertible model. The body and chassis are constructed of pressed steel with a yellow paint finish. The interior features white plastic components including front and rear bench seating, a dashboard, a black steering wheel, and a molded white plastic piece representing a folded-down convertible top. The vehicle is equipped with four black plastic tires featuring white-wall detailing and five-spoke silver-toned hubcaps. This model is a free-wheeling toy with two metal axles. Markings include JEEPSTER embossed on the front bumper, Tonka decals on both rear quarter panels, and a 4 Wheel Drive decal on the rear tailgate. The underside of the chassis is embossed with the Tonka logo and MADE IN U.S.A. near the front axle.
Condition report:
The vehicle is in good vintage condition with signs of play-related wear. The yellow paint shows scattered minor scuffs and small chips, primarily along the edges of the hood, fenders, and bumpers. The white plastic interior and steering wheel appear complete and free of cracks. The white-wall tires are original and intact, exhibiting minor age-related surface wear. The metal axles show some oxidation but remain functional.
