Description
A collection of nine pairs of vintage ladies gloves in various colors and designs. The lot includes one pair of perforated leather driving gloves in tan and cream featuring an interior fabric label for maker Kay Fuchs. Two pairs of black leather gloves are present, comprising one mid-forearm length and one standard wrist length. One pair of gloves is constructed with cream leather hands and long, ivory-colored knit textile cuffs with a cable-stitch pattern. The collection further includes a pair of vibrant cobalt blue leather gloves with decorative topstitching, and three pairs of wrist-length leather gloves in chocolate brown, navy blue, and cognac with vertical topstitched accents. A single pair is made from a textured tan suede or leather.
Condition report:
The collection is in good vintage condition. Most pairs show typical signs of use including creasing to the leather and light surface scuffing. Lighter-colored items, particularly the cream knit pair and the tan perforated pair, show visible soiling and darkening from age. The blue leather pair has some minor dark marks on the exterior. There are no observed tears or significant structural issues.
