Description
This lot consists of a pair of non-electric kerosene or oil table lamps. The first lamp features a ceramic base finished in a dark brown to black treacle-style glaze with an integrated loop handle. The second lamp features an amber-colored pressed glass base with a band of molded diamond patterns around the lower section and horizontal ribbing on the shoulder. Both lamps are equipped with brass-toned metal burner assemblies and clear glass hurricane-style chimneys. Small characters are present on the burner thumbwheels but are not clearly legible. Cotton wicks are included within the burners.
Height: Approximately 14 to 15 inches.
Condition report:
The ceramic lamp base shows age-appropriate wear, including minor glaze pops and small chips or losses to the glaze on the handle and body. The amber glass base is in good condition with no visible cracks or large chips. Both lamps exhibit surface oxidation and patina on the metal burner components. The glass chimneys are free of significant damage or heavy soot. These items have not been tested for functionality.
