Description

A trio of salt-glazed stoneware vessels by North Carolina potter Wayne Pace, dated 1985, 1987, and 1988. The collection includes two tapered pots with applied lug handles and one cylindrical mug with a single loop handle. Each piece features a salt-glazed exterior with characteristic orange peel texture and cobalt blue slip-trailed decoration. The interiors are finished with a dark reddish-brown glaze. The large pot is decorated with a stylized floral or tulip motif. The smaller pot depicts a bird perched on a leafy branch. The mug features a central heart motif with small leaves at the base. Each vessel is incised on the underside of the base with the signature W. Pace and the year of production.

Large Pot: 5.75 in H x 6.5 in rim diameter
Small Pot: 3.5 in H x 4.625 in rim diameter
Mug: 3.25 in H x 3.625 in rim diameter.
