Description
An assortment of contemporary studio pottery, primarily stoneware, featuring various utilitarian and decorative forms with diverse glazes and motifs. The collection includes a large bulbous stoneware pitcher with a two-tone cream and matte brown glaze, marked BUCK CREEK on the base. Included is a hand-painted stoneware mug featuring a Canada goose in a field with blue sponged accents at the rim and base; the underside is incised with the sentiment FRIENDS ARE FLOWERS THAT NEVER FADE! and signed NANCY ANDERSON NOV. 5, 1987. A tapered speckled tan stoneware mug is signed Will on the base. A smaller mug features a mottled blue, grey, and tan glaze with a faint incised signature on the base. The lot also contains a lidded teapot with a greenish-grey celadon-style glaze and a knob finial, a deep cobalt blue glazed berry bowl with circular drainage perforations, and a ribbed tan stoneware jar featuring star-shaped cutouts and an applied black bird silhouette.

Condition report:
