Description
This lot consists of two contemporary handmade quilts by maker Cyndy Kryder. The larger piece is a wall hanging featuring a geometric Broken Star pattern. The design is constructed from pieced cotton fabrics in a palette of navy blue, deep red, tan, and a cream floral print. It features a central square-in-a-square motif with radiating points. A hand-sewn fabric label on the reverse floral backing reads: BROKEN STAR / PIECED AND QUILTED / BY / CYNDY KRYDER / FOR / MAUREEN KOVALOVICH / MERRY / CHRISTMAS / 2010 !. The label includes a printed graphic of a red house in a winter setting. The smaller piece is an Americana-themed quilt or table topper. The central design is diagonally pieced to represent a stylized flag, including a navy blue field with white stars and alternating stripes of red and cream patterned fabrics, such as gingham and star prints. The piece is framed by a blue and tan border with four-patch checkered corner blocks and a red binding.

Both items appear to be in excellent condition, showing no visible stains, tears, fading, or signs of wear.
