Description
A two-piece step-back hutch and buffet base constructed of knotty pine with a reddish-brown honey finish. The upper section features a flared crown molding above two cabinet doors, each fitted with six panes of glass for a total of twelve panes. The interior contains two full-width shelves and a vertical beadboard back. Below the glass-front cabinets is an open display deck, also featuring a beadboard back. The lower buffet section features a flat top surface and two solid-wood paneled doors that open to interior storage. The piece is fitted with exposed black metal offset H-hinges. Doors are secured with wooden turn-latches and feature round wooden pull knobs. The construction and style are consistent with late 20th-century Early American reproductions, in the style of makers such as Stephen Von Hohen.
