Description
This lot consists of a pair of contemporary turned wood candlesticks manufactured for Pottery Barn. Each candlestick is designed in a traditional baluster style and constructed from lathe-turned wood with a dark mahogany-toned stain and polished finish. The items are equipped with black finished metal candle cup inserts designed to hold either taper or pillar candles. The bases are finished with black felt lining. The underside of the larger candlestick is marked with the Pottery Barn name in silver sans-serif capital letters and retains its original paper labels. These labels identify the manufacturer and distributor as Pottery Barn, San Francisco, and note that the items were made in India. One label includes the item code TRN WD TPRHLD 16MH and an original retail price of $49.00.
Height of taller candlestick: approximately 16 inches
Height of shorter candlestick: approximately 9.5 inches.
Condition report:
Both items are in good overall condition. A minor vertical surface scratch is visible on the central shaft of the taller candlestick. The black felt-lined bases show light wear and some accumulated lint consistent with normal use.
