Description
This collection consists of a large assortment of vintage Pokemon Trading Card Game cards, including both English and Japanese language editions. The cards represent early sets from the late 1990s through the early 2000s. English cards are manufactured by Wizards of the Coast and include printings from the Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Gym Heroes, and Gym Challenge expansions. The English cards are primarily Unlimited printings, though 1st Edition marks are present on specific cards such as Machoke from the Fossil set. Notable English cards include multiple copies of Base Set starters Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur. The Japanese cards are manufactured by Media Factory and feature the original Pocket Monsters card back design. This portion of the collection includes several holofoil rare cards from the Gym expansion series, specifically Sabrina’s Gengar, Erika’s Vileplume, Erika’s Dragonair, and Giovanni’s Golem. The lot also includes a variety of Trainer and Energy cards in both languages. The cards are currently stored in multi-pocket clear plastic binder sleeves.
Condition report:
The cards appear to be in mixed condition, generally falling between Lightly Played and Near Mint based on visual inspection through the binder pages. Minor edge wear, surface scuffing, and slight silvering or whitening on edges are visible on some cards, consistent with age and handling. No major creases, tears, or significant damage are visible.
