Description
This collection consists of nine items manufactured by the Baldwin Hardware Corporation, crafted in forged and polished brass in a traditional Colonial Revival style. The group includes a three-light candelabra with scrolling arms, two tall baluster-form candlesticks, one medium baluster-form candlestick, one chamberstick with a saucer base and ring handle, two wall-mounted sconces with oval backplates and scrolling arms, and a long-handled cone-shaped candle snuffer. Several pieces feature manufacturer marks on their bases, including an octagonal stamp reading FORGED IN BALDWIN AMERICA, a circular mark with a key symbol and the text BALDWIN FORGED IN AMERICA, and a small rectangular label reading BALDWIN Made in U.S.A.Candelabra: 9 inches H x 12 inches WTall Candlesticks: 7 inches HMedium Candlestick: 5.5 inches HWall Sconces: 8 inches LSnuffer: 10.5 inches L.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition with a high-polished finish. There are minor surface scratches and light tarnish consistent with age and gentle use. Staining and wear are present on the felt-covered bases, and one candlestick is missing its felt base cover.
