Description
This pair of clear Swedish lead crystal bowls was manufactured by Orrefors. The set features two distinct modernist designs: the Stella pattern and the Orion pattern. The Stella bowl, designed by Anne Nilsson, is characterized by an angular, flared form with an eight-pointed star-shaped rim. The Orion bowl, designed by Lars Hellsten, features a rounded, ten-lobed form reminiscent of a blossoming flower or crown. Both items are made of heavy, high-clarity crystal. One piece retains its original gold and black foil manufacturer’s label which displays the Orrefors fish logo and the text Orrefors Sweden. The base of one bowl is hand-etched with a cursive Orrefors signature. The Stella bowl has three protective felt pads attached to the underside of the base.Stella Bowl: 3 inches (H) x 5.5 inches (W)Orion Bowl: 4 inches (H) x 5.5 inches (W).
Condition report:
Both crystal bowls are in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or deep scratches. One bowl retains the original manufacturer\'s foil label. Light shelf wear is present on the undersides consistent with age.
