Description
This Himalayan yak bell features a tapered, cylindrical iron body with a heavy rusted patina and an internal wooden clapper. The bell is suspended from a hand-woven wool strap characterized by a braided geometric pattern in red, white, and brown. The strap is finished with a hand-carved wooden toggle closure. An associated hand-written paper identification tag is attached to the textile strap, bearing the text Yak Bell Himalaya (Nepal). The construction and materials are consistent with traditional pastoral artifacts from the Nepal or Tibet regions.

the item exhibits significant signs of age and authentic field use. The iron bell shows overall surface oxidation and heavy rust. The textile strap displays minor fraying and wear to the fibers. The wooden clapper and toggle show natural smoothing and darkening from use.
