Description
A group of three vintage pressed steel toy vehicles manufactured by Tonka, dating to the 1970s. The collection includes a magenta cab-over-engine mini pickup truck, a white Tonka Stables horse trailer, and a yellow car transporter. The pickup truck is constructed of magenta painted pressed steel with a white plastic bed liner and interior, a clear plastic windshield, and a chrome-tone plastic front grille and bumper. It features oversized black plastic knobby tires with white Tonka lettering on the sidewalls and Tonka decals on the doors. The underside of the chassis is embossed with MADE IN U.S.A. The horse trailer is made of white painted pressed steel with dual axles and black plastic wheels. A side decal depicts a horse head with the text Tonka STABLES. The car transporter consists of a yellow painted pressed steel cab-over-engine tractor with a detachable two-level trailer. The tractor features Tonka decals on both doors and a clear plastic windshield.
Condition report:
The items are in played-with condition and exhibit varying degrees of wear. The magenta pickup truck shows minor paint chips and scuffs but remains in relatively good condition. The white horse trailer and yellow car transporter show significant paint loss, surface oxidation, and rust. The horse trailer is missing its rear ramp gate. The car transporter trailer is missing the original small cars. Decals on the trailer and yellow truck show significant wear and fading.
