Description
Three US Walking Liberty half dollars dated 1940, 1942, and 1945. These coins are struck in 90% silver. The obverse features the Walking Liberty design and the reverse features the eagle design. Inscriptions on the obverse include LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. Inscriptions on the reverse include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and HALF DOLLAR. No mint marks are visible on the reverse of these specimens, identifying them as products of the Philadelphia Mint. The Walking Liberty series was designed by Adolph A. Weinman and issued by the US Mint from 1916 to 1947.Metal Composition: 90% SilverFineness: 0.900.
Condition report:
All three coins are in circulated condition. The 1940 specimen exhibits significant wear to the design elements and dark surface grime. The 1942 and 1945 specimens show moderate wear consistent with general circulation and display typical aged silver toning. No professional third-party grading is present.
