Description
This US 1899-O Morgan silver dollar was struck at the New Orleans Mint. The coin is composed of a silver-colored metal. The obverse features the Morgan design type with the inscription E PLURIBUS UNUM and the date 1899. The reverse displays the standard eagle and wreath design with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, In God We Trust, and the denomination ONE DOLLAR. A single O mint mark is positioned on the reverse below the wreath and above the DO in DOLLAR.
Condition report:
The coin is in fine to very fine condition, exhibiting moderate wear on high-relief areas including the hair and the eagle\'s breast. The surfaces show numerous small contact marks and light scratches. A dull grey patina is present with darker toning in the recessed areas. No third-party grading is visible.
