Description
Two hand-carved wooden walking sticks featuring folk art motifs. The first stick is constructed of a reddish-brown wood with a spiral-carved shaft entwined by a carved and painted serpent with dark banding, terminating in a rounded knob handle and fitted with a white rubber tip. The second stick, finished with a yellow varnish, features a character head handle with exaggerated facial features, including a prominent nose and ears with a downturned expression. This stick is fitted with a black rubber tip. Neither item displays visible maker marks, signatures, or dates.
Length: Approximately 36 to 38 inches.
Condition report:
Both sticks exhibit minor surface wear, scuffs, and small scratches consistent with age and utilitarian use. The rubber tips show wear.
