Description
A contemporary redware earthenware charger featuring a high-gloss, reddish-brown slip-glazed surface. The central motif depicts a hand-painted beehive skep in textured shades of cream and tan, complete with a dark arched entrance. The base of the skep is decorated with a textured green and white glaze suggestive of grass. Four stylized bees are shown in flight around the hive. The shallow, slightly upturned rim is finished with a mottled dark brown border. The unglazed reverse shows the natural red clay body and bears an incised signature Tomashausky followed by a copyright symbol and the date 1997. It also features a circular stamp with a central R surrounded by Oxford Earthenware and a smaller circular Lead Free stamp.

Condition report:
This item is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations. The glaze remains bright and lustrous. Very minor surface wear is visible on the unglazed base.
