Description
This vintage Windsor-style settee, frequently identified as a Prosper’s Bench, is constructed from solid oak with a warm medium-brown finish. The piece features a double-hoop design, consisting of a steam-bent upper crest rail and a central rail, both fitted with multiple slender turned spindles. It has a thick, contoured solid wood saddle seat and curved arms with rounded hand rests supported by turned posts. The bench stands on six splayed, turned legs joined by a double-H stretcher system. No maker’s marks are visible.
