Description
This console table is constructed from an antique cast iron treadle sewing machine base manufactured by the Singer Manufacturing Company and features a fitted rustic solid wood top. The cast iron base retains its original mechanical elements, including the treadle foot pedal, drive wheel, and connecting rod. The central crossmember on the front of the base is cast with the name SINGER in capital letters. The sides of the base feature ornate scrolling openwork, and the entire base is finished in black paint. The rectangular wooden top is composed of three stained planks with breadboard ends and a natural knot visible in the center.

Condition report:
Good overall condition with signs of age and use consistent with a repurposed antique. The wooden top shows surface wear including scratches and indentations. The cast iron base exhibits typical paint loss, minor surface oxidation, and general wear. Mechanical components are present but untested for original sewing functionality.
