Description
This is a two-door cupboard or pie safe of one-piece construction, designed in an American country primitive style. The cabinet is constructed from softwood, likely pine, featuring a sage green painted exterior and a dark stained interior with a tongue-and-groove backboard. The two doors each contain three panels of galvanized wire mesh and are mounted with six black-finished metal butterfly-style hinges. Interior fittings include three fixed-position, full-width wooden shelves. A single wide drawer is located at the base, featuring two round black knobs. The entire unit is supported by four square tapered legs. While the design is characteristic of the Ethan Allen Country Colors collection, no maker marks or labels are present to confirm the manufacturer.
