Description
A vintage Fenwick model 3.6 fly tying kit housed in a tan plastic cantilever tackle box manufactured by Woodstream. The exterior features the fenwick 3.6 logo in brown and orange, while the latch displays the Fenwick Woodstream eagle emblem. The interior is organized with three tiers of orange plastic trays containing a comprehensive assortment of fly tying materials and tools. Included in the collection is a metal C-clamp fly tying vise, multiple spools of thread, tinsels, and wires. The kit contains several boxes of hooks from manufacturers such as Mustad, Tiemco, and Viking. Also present are two jars of Gudebrod rod varnish and various packets of materials including feathers, dubbing, and fur. A retailer label for Eyler’s Inc. of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, is visible on one of the supply packets.
Condition report:
The kit shows signs of age and significant previous use. The exterior of the box exhibits surface wear, scuffs, and accumulated grime. Internal components show scattered organization, with light oxidation present on the metal components of the vise. Supplies and materials appear in various states of use.
