Description
This is an antique American open face pocket watch manufactured by the Waltham Watch Company. The watch features a manual wind, stem set mechanical movement. The movement is engraved with the serial number 2425303, identifying it as a Model 1883 movement produced approximately between 1884 and 1885. The movement is further marked Waltham Watch Co. WALTHAM, MASS., ADJUSTED, and SAFETY PINION. The white porcelain enamel dial features black Roman numeral hour markers, a railroad style outer minute track, and a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position. The hands are blued steel spade style. The dial is signed A. W. Co. WALTHAM. The watch is housed in a base metal case manufactured by the Keystone Watch Case Company. The interior of the case back is marked with the Keystone logo, KEYSTONE, BASE METAL, and serial number 622328. The case back is decorated with a detailed engraving of a steam locomotive on tracks set against a background of radiating lines.

Condition report:
The case shows moderate surface wear, scratches, and localized tarnishing and pitting consistent with age and use. The porcelain dial has several fine hairline cracks visible, most notably near the 4 o\'clock and 10 o\'clock positions. The movement appears intact and free of significant corrosion, but mechanical functionality has not been tested. The watch is sold as is.
