Lot 157:
Description
This is a vintage Bulova men’s wristwatch from approximately the 1960s, featuring a design characteristic of the Sea King and Yankee Clipper model lines of that era. The timepiece consists of a round gold-tone case with tapered lugs and a gold-tone push-pull crown. The silver-tone dial features a sunburst finish with applied gold-tone baton hour markers and dauphine-style hands, complemented by a sweep central seconds hand. The dial is signed BULOVA below the 12 o’clock position and marked WATERPROOF above the 6 o’clock position. The case is fitted with a gold-tone expansion-style metal band with a stainless steel interior. The watch is powered by a manual-wind mechanical movement. No original box or documentation is included with this lot.
Case size: Not measured.
Condition report:
The watch is in fair to good vintage condition. There are numerous scratches visible on the acrylic crystal, bezel, and case. Significant brassing is noted on the lugs where the gold-tone finish has worn through to the base metal. The expansion band shows surface wear and accumulated debris between the links. The dial appears well-preserved with minor signs of age. The movement is untested, and the current working condition is unknown.
