Description
This is a trio of cylindrical ceramic storage canisters produced by Pimpernel International Ltd. Each canister features a cream-colored glaze and is decorated with a transfer-printed illustration of a farm animal on the front. The subjects include a brown and white cow, a dark-faced sheep with cream fleece, and a white pig with black spots, each standing on a patch of green grass. The reverse of each canister remains undecorated. The set is accompanied by light-colored wooden lids, each featuring a recessed central knob for lifting. The base of the canisters is marked with blue printed text reading DESIGNED IN ENGLAND, above a six-petaled floral logo, followed by PIMPERNEL, Dishwasher safe, and an arc stating Made in Thailand Pimpernel International Ltd.
Condition report:
The canisters are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant crazing to the glaze. The transfer prints remain clear and vibrant. The wooden lids exhibit natural variations in wood grain and minor surface wear consistent with typical household use.
