Description
This lot consists of a pair of transitional-style wingback armchairs, made by Bassett Furniture (Model 1088-02) based on visual consensus. The chairs feature a streamlined interpretation of the classic wingback silhouette with a flared, high back and low-profile arms. Both pieces are upholstered in a burnt orange or terra cotta colored velvet fabric and include removable seat cushions. The design is accented with antiqued brass-tone nail head trim that follows the outer edges of the wings, the front of the arms, and the lower apron. Each chair is supported by four tapered square wooden legs with a dark espresso-style finish. No manufacturer labels or marks are visible in the provided images.
