Description
A vintage cellular bag phone manufactured by Panasonic and branded for Bell Atlantic Mobile Systems. This mobile telecommunications unit consists of a black plastic handset and an integrated transceiver base contained within a black vinyl carrying bag. The handset features a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen and a push-button keypad including standard numeric keys and functional buttons such as SEND, END, RCL, STO, CLR, PWR, FUNC, and VOL. The internal padded cradle within the bag is embossed with the Panasonic script logo. The set includes a flexible rubberized antenna, a coiled handset cord, and a DC power adapter cord for a vehicle cigarette lighter. Also present is a third-party VDO-PAK model RB-85 lead-acid replacement battery with a capacity of 12 Volt and 2300 mAh.
Condition report:
The item is in used vintage condition. The vinyl carrying case shows significant material degradation, with extensive peeling and cracking of the synthetic surface, particularly around the top opening and antenna port. The handset and keypad appear in good cosmetic condition with minor surface wear. The battery and power cords are included, but the functional status of the unit and the battery\'s ability to hold a charge are untested. Sold as-is.
