Description
A collection of ten cast brass novelty pins or brooches designed as miniature replicas of antique furniture hardware and traditional decorative motifs. Each piece is cast in high relief and exhibits a bright golden brass finish. The reverse of each item is fitted with a pin stem and a safety catch mechanism. The assortment includes various historical and sporting motifs: a crown surmounting a tied ribbon and foliate spray, a traditional skeleton key, an hourglass centered within an oval frame, an ornate Rococo-style scrolling keyhole escutcheon, a Federal-style eagle with outstretched wings, a simple oval keyhole escutcheon, a Chippendale-style bail drawer pull, a horse head in profile, a rectangular rim lock box featuring a faux keyhole and knob, and a fox head mask. No maker’s marks, hallmarks, or signatures are visible on the reverse of these items.
Condition report:
The items are in good vintage condition. The brass surfaces show minor areas of oxidation, light tarnish, and surface wear consistent with age. All pin stems and safety catches appear to be intact and functional.
