Description
This vintage 1980s mixed-media jacket is produced by KRIO and was retailed by Pollack Furs & Leathers of West Reading, Pennsylvania. The body and voluminous collar are constructed from horizontal tiers of dyed fox fur in a tri-tone striped pattern of black, forest green, and lime green. The garment features black leather trim embossed with a crocodilian texture along the front zipper placket, waistband, pocket welts, and cuffs. The long sleeves terminate in cuffs with silver-tone metal snap closures. A full-length metal zipper serves as the primary closure. The interior is finished with a black horizontally quilted lining. Two labels are present at the interior neck: a black woven label for the brand KRIO and a white woven label for the retailer Pollack Furs & Leathers.
Condition report:
The jacket is in good vintage condition. The dyed fox fur remains plush and vibrant with no visible matting, balding, or significant shedding. The embossed leather trim is supple with no cracking or peeling, showing only light shelf wear consistent with age. All hardware, including the zipper and snaps, is in functional order.
