Description
A hand-carved and painted wooden fish decoy depicting a largemouth bass, executed by B. D. Moreno. The decoy features a greenish-olive body with a prominent dark, mottled horizontal lateral band and a pale yellowish belly. The piece is detailed with a carved wooden tail and dorsal fin, while the two pectoral fins are fashioned from thin metal. It is finished with taxidermy-style glass eyes and a single metal screw eyelet on the back for a line tie. The underside of the belly is hand-signed and dated in black ink: B. D. MORENO 2007.
Length: 6.5 inches.
Condition report:
The decoy is in excellent original condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or significant paint loss. The metal fins and glass eyes are secure and intact.
