Description
Larry Eckstrom Waverider Pintail drake duck decoy. This specimen is constructed with a coarse cork body and features a wooden head and wooden tail board. The head is painted in the species-characteristic dark brown and black with a white stripe extending from the breast along the neck, and is fitted with dark amber-colored eyes. The body is finished in mottled gray tones with darker feathering details across the back. A long wooden keel is secured to the underside with screws and is stamped with the Waverider logo, the maker name Larry Eckstrom, and Valley City, ND.

Condition report:
The decoy is in good overall condition, showing wear consistent with a working decoy. Visible paint loss and scuffing are present on the bill, top of the head, and tail board. The cork body shows minor pitting, small losses, and age-related wear. There is visible separation and cracking at the neck joint where the wooden head meets the cork body. The wooden tail board shows minor splitting at the edges.
