Description
A black-finished wrought metal four-tier corner bakers rack or plant stand. The piece features a triangular footprint designed for corner placement. Each level consists of a perforated metal mesh shelf bordered by a decorative pierced gallery. The structure is supported by three vertical posts, each terminating in a simple rounded foot. The top of the unit is surmounted by an arched pediment with scrolling elements and a central pointed finial. The side vertical supports are accented with scroll motifs and capped with small ball finials. The frame is joined with weld points. There are no visible maker marks, labels, or signatures on the item.
Condition report:
The item is in used, weathered condition. There is visible surface rust and oxidation at the base of the legs and at various weld joints throughout the frame (photo 1). The black finish shows generalized wear and areas of oxidation consistent with outdoor exposure (photo 2). The perforated shelves and pierced galleries appear structurally intact.
