Sterling Silver, Antique Flintlock Shotgun, Collectibles Estate Sale Auction
Lot 110:
Description
This is an incomplete relic-condition percussion revolver frame and barrel assembly consistent with the Remington New Model Army design. Chambered for .44 caliber percussion, the item features an octagonal barrel integrated with a solid-top steel frame and a brass trigger guard. The grip frame retains its two-piece dark wood panels. This lot is sold for parts or repair and is missing the cylinder, cylinder pin, and the entire loading lever assembly. A handwritten note accompanying the item is transcribed as follows: Marked 92584 On Barrel Pre 1899 Gun. While the serial number 92584 is not clearly legible on the metal surfaces in the provided images, it is noted as being present on the barrel. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The item is in relic/parts condition. The metal surfaces exhibit heavy oxidation, surface pitting, and a dark brown patina throughout. The wood grips show significant wear, including a large loss of wood at the bottom edge of the right panel. The firearm is incomplete and non-functional as it is missing the cylinder and loading lever components. We have not function-tested this item.
