Description
This lot consists of two vintage photographic accessories. The first is a Sawyer’s 500 slide projector, manufactured by Sawyer’s Inc. The unit features a light tan textured industrial finish. The front handle is detailed with raised letters reading SAWYER’S. The projector is fitted with an ANASTIGMAT 4 INCH f/3.5 lens. A side control panel features white plastic toggle switches for FORWARD – REVERSE and a FOCUS adjustment knob. It includes a matching hard plastic carrying case with a metal latch and a power cord. An original paper instruction booklet is included, featuring a green and black cover with a diamond logo reading SAWYER’S and the text 500 SLIDE PROJECTORS. The second item is a Logan E-Z View illuminated slide sorter, model number 1055. This item is contained within its original yellow and orange cardboard box. The box displays a printed script logo reading Logan inside a circle. According to the packaging, the sorter is constructed of metal, holds up to 40 slides, and is designed to fold for storage.
Condition report:
The Sawyer\'s projector is in good vintage condition. The textured body shows minor surface dust and light scuffing consistent with age and use (photo 3). The lens glass appears clear with no visible fungus or heavy scratching. The hard plastic case is intact, though the brass-tone metal latch shows light oxidation and surface tarnish (photo 1). The instruction booklet exhibits minor creasing and edge wear (photo 3). The Logan slide sorter box shows significant signs of age and shelf wear, including yellowing, water staining, and frayed corners (photo 2). The internal mechanical and electrical components, including the projector lamp and the sorter illumination, have not been tested for functionality.
