Description
This Amerex fire extinguisher features a red painted metal cylinder designed for use on Class A, B, and C fires. The assembly includes a black flexible discharge hose, a silver-tone metal handle and operating lever, and a safety pin secured with a white plastic tamper seal. A pressure gauge is mounted near the handle, with the needle currently positioned in the green zone to indicate a full charge. The cylinder body bears a large instructional label with pictograms for fire classes A (trash, wood, paper), B (liquids), and C (electrical equipment). A diamond-shaped logo located on the lower portion of the cylinder contains the printed text AMEREX. Attached to the handle is a service tag from Shapiro Fire Protection Co. of Warminster, PA, which identifies the unit as being serviced for ABC (Dry Chem) use with the year 2025 prominently displayed.
Condition report:
The fire extinguisher is in good overall condition. The pressure gauge needle is clearly visible within the green charged zone (Photo 1). The exterior red finish exhibits minor scuffs and light surface dust, primarily located near the base of the cylinder (Photo 2). The discharge hose and nozzle show no signs of cracking or dry rot (Photo 1). The safety pin and plastic tamper seal are intact and undisturbed.
