Description
A cylindrical ceramic umbrella or stick stand decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground. The exterior features two primary panels: one depicting a traditional Chinoiserie river landscape with pagodas, figures, a bridge, and mountains; the other featuring a continuous floral and foliate scroll design. The top of the cylinder is finished with a geometric lattice border and a band of stylized pendant ruyi or heart-shaped motifs, while the base is finished with a matching decorative band. The unglazed underside of the base is marked with blue printed text that reads NOT FOR FOOD USE — MAY POISON FOOD FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES ONLY. A small impressed mark, appearing to be the letter H, is also present on the base.

Condition report:
The item appears in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs visible in the photographs. There are typical minor kiln pitting marks and glaze irregularities from manufacture. The unglazed foot ring shows light shelf wear and darkening consistent with age and use.
